Giro Femminile Stage 3
Another fast day, for the sprinters, was won by Jolien D’Hoore, from the Mithelton-Scott squad, ahead of Stage Two winner Kirstin Wild and Canyon-SRAM’s Alexis Ryan after a hectic circuit around Corbetta.
There is another new Pink Jersey – still from Team Sunweb, after their dominant opening-day TTT – in the form of Canadian racer Leah Kirchmann, who finished fourth and picked up enough bonus seconds to continue Sunweb’s sharing scheme… Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio moved up a spot to 16th, and will be looking to survive Monday’s equally flat 109km stage around Piacenza, before the race head’s into her beloved mountains.
