Giro d’Italia Femminile Stage Two
Wiggle High5 sprinter Kirsten Wild won a frantic finish in the second stage of the Giro Rosa, held over 120km in the hills around Ovida. She beat local heroine Giorgia Bronzini int second, with Dutch legend Marianne Vos third. Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio finished in the main field, and remains 17th overall, just 25 seconds behind new Pink Jersey holder Lucinda Brand, from the TTT-winning Sunweb squad, who picked up some bonus seconds on the stage to take the lead from team mate Ellen van Dijk. Sunday sees the peloton cover 132km around Corbetta.
